I wholeheartedly agree with you. In fact, I’ve been writing about this — going against yourself towards completion of a creative project just for the sake of it will always erode its magic.

There’s something about a genuine drive to write, the outcome which is incomparable to deliberate writing against natural will. At least I’ve experienced so. At least for creative writing.
